Gelderland poultry imports suspended

Centre for Food Safety Department

The Centre for Food Safety has suspended applications to import poultry meat from Gelderland in the Netherlands after a confirmed outbreak of avian influenza on a farm there.

 

It is seeking further information on the case.

 

Last year Hong Kong imported some 7,000 tonnes of frozen poultry meat and offal from the country.
