3 new hospital gastroenteritis cases
*
Hospital Authority

Three more women have come down with gastroenteritis symptoms and fever, bringing the total infected at a ward in the Kowloon Hospital Rehabilitation Building to 13.

Eleven patients, all women aged 50 to 98, are being treated in isolation and are in stable condition. Two staff have taken sick leave.

All other patients in the ward are under close surveillance. There will be no admission to or discharge from the ward until further notice. Infection control measures have been enhanced and visits to the isolated cubicle have been suspended.

Tests are being conducted and the case has been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
