A&E attendance during Christmas up 8.2%

Hospital Authority

The daily attendance at public hospitals' Accident & Emergency Departments during the Christmas holidays averaged 6,204, up 8.2% over the same period last year.

 

The Hospital Authority said the figure was 23.6% higher than December's daily average.

 

During the holidays, Tuen Mun Hospital's  A&E department recorded the highest daily average attendance, 708. This was followed by United Christian with 603 and Queen Elizabeth with 568.
