Avian flu

North Korean bird, poultry imports suspended
*

Imports of live birds and poultry meat from North Korea have been suspended in the wake of avian influenza reports in the country.

 

The Health, Welfare & Food Bureau said a strain of highly pathogenic avian influenza has been detected in chicken farms near Pyongyang and Hadang.
