The recovery works of Hong Kong City Hall's Low Block are nearing completion and it will resume normal service in February.
The foyer will resume service from tomorrow, with opening hours from 9am to 11pm.
The exhibition hall on 2/F will re-open on February 5. The first exhibition, of proposals for the development of the West Kowloon Cultural District, will be held daily from 10am to 8pm from February 5 to March 28.
The concert hall will re-open after the Lunar New Year holiday. The first concert, "Les Six Annual Concert 2005", will be held at 8pm on February 12. Various programmes of the Hong Kong Arts Festival 2005, a Cantonese opera performance for the elderly, a children's folk song contest and some spectacular performances will follow.
The theatre, Maxim's Western Restaurant on 1/F and Maxim's Palace Chinese Restaurant on 2/F resumed service in mid-December.
Some facilities to close early during Lunar New Year
During the Lunar New Year holiday, both the Low and High blocks will close at 5pm on February 8 (Lunar New Year's Eve) and for the whole day on February 9 (first day of Lunar New Year).
The High Block will close while the Low Block will open as normal on February 10. The High Block recital hall and all facilities of the Low Block will open as normal on February 11.
