HK makes final push for East Asian Games
*

Hong Kong is making the final push in its bid to host the 5th East Asian Games in 2009.

The host city will be announced by the East Asian Games Association in Macau on Monday.

The HK Bid Committee, formed by the Government and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of HK, will stage an exhibition at Macau's Mandarin Oriental Hotel this weekend to showcase our geographic and economic advantages, and our extensive experience in holding international events.

Committee Chairman Timothy Fok, and Deputy Chairman, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Anissa Wong, will present Hong Kong's case before the association on Sunday.

The exhibition will open from 2pm to 6pm on both days, and also from 8pm to 10pm on Sunday.

The public has supported the games bid, with 287,000 signatures collected in a campaign in October.
