3-way health meeting set for Macau this weekend
*

Senior health officials from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau will meet to exchange views and share experiences on October 25 and 26 in Macau.

Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Dr Yeoh Eng-kiong will lead a 21-member delegation to attend the meeting. Members include Director of Health Dr Lam Ping-yan, Director of Food & Environmental Hygiene Gregory Leung, and Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority Dr William Ho.

The Mainland and Macau delegations will be led by the Vice Minister of Health Huang Jeifu and the Secretary for Social Affairs & Culture Dr Chui Sai-on respectively.

During the two-day meeting, the three sides will discuss issues relating to the overall strategy in the control of infectious diseases, monitoring of medical regulatory requirements, monitoring of food hygiene and regulatory control, and exchange and co-operation on Chinese medicine.

It will be the second joint meeting for health officials of the three jurisdictions. The first was held in Beijing in June last year.
