Dr Yeoh shares SARS experience with Macau
*

Secretary for Health, Welfare & Food Yeoh Eng-kiong will lead a delegation to Macau tomorrow afternoon to share lessons from Hong Kong's SARS outbreak with authorities there.

 

Members of the delegation include Director of Health Lam Ping-yan and Hospital Authority Director Ko Wing-man.

 

The Hong Kong and Macau authorities will share their SARS experiences and discuss ways to enhance co-operation in the control and prevention of infectious diseases.

 

Dr Yeoh will call on Macau Secretary for Social Affairs & Culture Dr Chui Sai-on and hold discussions with Macau's Health Director Dr Koi Huok-ieng.

 

He will also visit Conde de Sao Januario Hospital, Fai Chi Kei Health Centre and new isolation facilities to better understand Macau's public health situation and plans to prevent SARS.

 

Dr Yeoh will return to Hong Kong on August 22.
