There were no new confirmed cases of SARS reported in the last 24 hours, marking the 11th consecutive day of zero infections in Hong Kong. It is also the 38th day in a row with fewer than five cases since May 16.

Some 1,410 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital, including two today.

There are 28 cases being treated in hospitals. Most patients are responding positively to the treatment protocol, and 21 are recovering patients in convalescence and preparing for discharge. Eleven are in intensive care.

There were no fatalities. The cumulative total number of deaths relating to SARS remains at 296. This is the seventh time that Hong Kong recorded zero infections and zero deaths on the same day.
