All anti-SARS measures must be rigorous and up to the highest standard to further bring down the number of new cases of infection, the Chief Executive said today.
"Our next important step ahead is to bring down the number of new cases of infection to a single digit. We do not wish to see any of our frontline medical and nursing staff getting infected," he said.

He said Hong Kong can win the World Health Organsiation's support if the number of cases are minimised and consider lifting its travel restriction advisory.
On community organisations giving SARS-affected people a helping hand, the Chief Executive said this has given him great confidence as solidarity is the key to winning the virus battle.
Earlier today Mr Tung visited a home for the aged in Ho Man Tin to see for himself measures taken to protect the elderly.
He then met with medical staff at the Hospital Authority Headquarters before going to Lowu to see the operation of infrared thermal detectors.
