Atypical pneumonia

Nine more patients discharged

As at 3pm, 116 patients had recovered from atypical pneumonia and been sent home from public hospitals, including nine who were discharged today.

 

Meanwhile, another 42 patients with symptoms were admitted to public hospitals. They include nine healthcare workers and 11 Amoy Gardens residents.

 

The remaining 22 were new patients and contacts of patients with the disease.

 

This brings the total number of people who have been admitted for the disease to 842.

 

Most patients are responding positively to treatment, and 108 patients are in intensive care.

 

Two female patients, aged 71 and 68, died in Princess Margaret Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital respectively today, bringing to 22 the total number of deaths related to the disease.
