23 beaches rated good

Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality at 23 beaches as 'good', nine 'fair' and one 'poor' for this weekend.

 

Compared with last week, Hap Mun Bay Beach improved from fair to good, Big Wave Bay Beach upgraded from very poor to poor, and Castle Peak Beach downgraded from good to fair.

 

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.
