25 beaches rated 'good'
*
Environmental Protection Department

Water quality at 25 beaches has been rated 'good' and eight 'fair' for this weekend.

Stanley Main Beach has been upgraded from fair to good while Cafeteria Old Beach and Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach have been downgraded.

Seven beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality. People should not swim at these beaches.

People should also avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall.
