Space Museum to spotlight partial eclipse

*

The Hong Kong Space Museum will make arrangements for people to observe the partial solar eclipse on January 15, starting at 3.30pm, using a projection method or telescopes with light filtering systems.

The museum will televise the partial eclipse live in the foyer.

Admission is free and people can join on a first come, first served basis.

This annular eclipse will be the longest one this millennium, but only a partial solar eclipse will be visible in Hong Kong. It will occur from 3.33pm to 6pm. About 67.4% of the sun's diameter will be obscured by the moon at 4.54pm.
