The Spanish version of the online World Weather Information Service (http://wwis.inm.es/) has been launched, offering forecasts for 1,110 cities and climatological data of 1,154 cities, the Observatory says.

The website enables more than 350 million Spanish-speaking people in Spain and all over the world to obtain official and accurate weather information in a convenient way. It also offers useful links to the National Meteorological Services.

Observatory Director Lam Chiu-ying said the website, launched in collaboration with Spain's Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia, has shown the close co-operation between the two parties in providing quality services to a wider audience. It has also demonstrated how technology exchange can benefit the international community.
