beach water quality

Summer's end: Twelve beaches have been rated 'good' for a swim this weekend. Get in quick before the cool weather arrives.

Water quality at 12 beaches has been rated 'good' for this weekend, while two others are 'fair'.

The grades of all 14 beaches are unchanged from last week.

'Good' beaches are Shek O, Chung Hom Kok, South Bay, Deep Water Bay, Stanley Main, Hairpin, St Stephen's, Middle Bay, Turtle Cove, Repulse Bay and Clear Water Bay Second.

Golden and Silverstrand Beaches are rated fair.

Seven are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality. They are Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Hei Wan and Lido beaches.
