Water quality at 23 beaches 'good' for swimming
*
Environmental Protection Department

Water quality at 23 beaches has been rated "good" for swimming this weekend by the Environmental Protection Department, with nine "fair" and one "very poor".  Click here for details.

Under the grading system, beaches are classified into four grades according to the level of E. coli in the water.

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.

People are advised not to swim at these closed beaches.
