March warmer and drier than usual

Weather of March

In the springtime: March was warmer and drier than usual in Hong Kong.

It was warmer and drier than usual last month with a mean temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and 38.6 millimetres of rainfall.

 

The Hong Kong Observatory said rainfall was about 40% down on the normal figure of 66.9 millimetres, while the temperature was 0.5 degrees Celsius above normal.

 

The accumulated rainfall since the beginning of the year was 75.4 millimetres, about half of the normal figure of 138.3 millimetres for the same period.
