Rita Lau to promote tourism in Shanghai
*

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Rita Lau will depart for Shanghai tomorrow to launch the Now Shanghai! Next Hong Kong! campaign to attract Shanghai Expo visitors to Hong Kong and promote Festive Hong Kong 2010.

Organised by the Tourism Board, the large-scale tourism promotion is one of Hong Kong's signature programmes to be staged in Shanghai during the expo period. A wide range of activities will be held to highlight Hong Kong's rich attractions.

Mrs Lau will visit the Design Centre's six-month event Hong Kong: Creative Ecologies-Business, Living, Creativity exhibition, promoting the city's design and creative industries during the expo.

She will also visit The Bridge 8, a cluster of creative and technology services developed from revitalised factories, before returning to Hong Kong on June 2.
