Consortium wins Lee Tung Street project
*
Urban Renewal Authority

Grand Site Development Limited - a consortium formed by Sino Land Company and Hopewell Holdings - has won the joint development contract for the Lee Tung Street/McGregor Street project in Wan Chai, the Urban Renewal Authority says.

The firm's tender is one of six submissions received for the joint venture project in a public tender exercise. After careful consideration, the authority decided the firm made the best offer and represented the best benefit to the authority.

The project covers a site area of about 88,500 square feet and upon completion, will deliver a maximum gross floor area of about 835,000 square feet for residential and commercial uses - together with public open space, an elderly residential care home and conservation of three historic buildings.

It will feature some wedding-themed shops, and a wedding traditions and culture gallery in the three conserved  buildings. Some floor space will be designated for social enterprises.
