Vice-President Zeng Qinghong officiated at the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland today, ending his three-day visit to the city.

Before the midday ceremony, Mr Zeng first saw Disney's Storybook Theatre where he was briefed by Financial Secretary Henry Tang and Disney officials on the theme park.

It's a small world: Vice-President Zeng Qinghong salutes the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland with Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Disney characters. He was later presented a souvenir photo album of his stay.

Accompanied by Chief Executive Donald Tsang, Mr Zeng then visited Chinese food court Clopin's Festival of Foods, the Mad Hatter Tea Cups and Fantasy Gardens, where they posed for photographs with Disney characters.

At the ceremony, Mr Zeng and other VIPs dotted the eyes of five ceremonial lions. Flanked by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the guests then performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was followed by fireworks.
