There were 891 bankruptcy petitions presented in October, up 3.8% from the September figure of 858, and a drop of 51.6% compared with last year's average monthly figure of 1,841.
The Official Receiver's Office said during the month, the court made 1,006 bankruptcy orders, virtually unchanged from the previous month's figure of 1,005, and a drop of 51.6% on the average monthly figure of 2,077 last year.
