Hospitality campaign
Welcome to Hong Kong!: New posters promoting hospitality can be seen throughout the territory.
*

New television advertisements titled "Friendly Hong Kong - You make a difference!" have been launched to showcase local popular tourist spots and simple acts to enrich visitors' experience in Hong Kong .

The two 30-second episodes feature local people greeting visitors in different settings to show how simple acts such as a friendly smile, a warm greeting or a helping hand may greatly enrich visitors' experience here. The theme song is sung by well-known singer George Lam.

The Tourism Commission said Hong Kong expects to receive more than 20 million visitor arrivals this year, a 31.8% increase over last year.

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of community involvement to make all visitors feel welcome, and every little thing local people do for them will make a lasting impression.

The advertisements will be aired on all local TV and radio stations and on outdoor video displays in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay and Central. Wall banners and posters, as well as bus and taxi body advertisements will be mounted to promote the hospitality message.
