A delegation comprising representatives from Western food enterprises in Guangzhou will visit Hong Kong September 2 for five days to understand its investment environment.

The visit is organised by the Guangzhou Western Food Association and co-sponsored by the HK Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong.

The investment delegation, comprising 10 association members, all from leading Western food catering enterprises in Guangzhou.

The delegates will meet officials from Invest Hong Kong, the Immigration Department and the HK Tourism Board. They will be briefed on the investment environment, policies and regulations relating to the operation of Western food trades in Hong Kong, and the new arrangement for Mainland residents' work visas.

The delegation will hold meetings with the Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants & Related Trades. They will share experiences and exchange information with their Hong Kong counterparts on the operation of Western food catering businesses in the two places.
