The Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Canada will soon stage its first large-scale promotion in Quebec to showcase Hong Kong's business opportunities.
The event also aims to inform the Quebec community that Hong Kong has bounced back after the SARS outbreak.
Part of the Relaunch Hong Kong programme, the event will comprise a business seminar, Hong Kong & Quebec City - Friendship & Partnership and a photo exhibition, Building a Dynamic Hong Kong.
The seminar will be held on August 12. It will focus on the business opportunities available in Hong Kong and the Mainland, in particular the Pearl River Delta, and the advantages of partnering with Hong Kong to enter the Mainland market.
Officials will also share with Quebec companies details of CEPA at the seminar.
This will be followed by the photo exhibition from August 13 to 24.
The 12-day exhibition will showcase some of the core infrastructure projects Hong Kong has launched since 1997. Major initiatives involving a total investment of C$120 billion on about 1,600 infrastructure projects over the coming decade will also be unveiled.
