HK set to woo Israeli businesses
*

InvestHK Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion John Rutherford has begun a four-day visit to Israel to promote Hong Kong as a bridge business with the Mainland.

With the support of the Israeli Consulate-General and the Israel Export & International Co-operation Institute, the trip is the frist visit made by InvestHK to the country.

It has been timed to coincide with the institute's seminar themed 'Hong Kong as a Bridge to Business with China' which will be held tomorrow.

Mr Rutherford will give a presentation which will focus on the unique advantages of Hong Kong's One Country, Two Systems formula, including the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement signed on June 29 between the Mainland and Hong Kong.

Under this agreement, many Hong Kong-based goods and services will enjoy tariff-free access to the Mainland .

Mr Rutherford will also make separate visits to a number of technology companies interested in learning more about Hong Kong's competitive advantages.
