ASEAN centres to get relaunch HK message

Hong Kong will launch a massive promotion campaign in major Association of South East Asian Nations cities to restore confidence in travelling here.

The campaign will start with the Hong Kong Looking Ahead receptions in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok on July 3, 7 and 9 respectively.

HK Economic & Trade Office (Singapore) Director Rex Chang said Hong Kong is once again a safe place to visit and do business in as the city has successfully contained SARS. He said it is now healthier and cleaner, and will continue improving.

Some of the initiatives being launched include the Hong Kong Welcomes You! fairs, an extensive publicity drive with advertisements to be placed in key media outlets, familiarisation trips to Hong Kong for trade representatives and the media, and high-powered business talks and seminars.
