More spending to fuel reviving economy urged

*
Restaurants
Spend and shop: Taxpayers are urged to keep the economy moving by taking part in the We Love HK campaign, which offers enticing cuisine at unbeatable prices.

The retail and restaurant sectors are almost back to normal while tourism, hotel and airline businesses are on the road to recovery.

This was the message from the Secretary for Economic Development & Labour Stephen Ip.

Speaking at the launch of the third phase of the We Love HK campaign, he called on the public to spend money received from the tax rebate next month to fuel the reviving economy.

In this phase, over 300 restaurants will offer a wide array of enticing cuisine, from Cantonese and Chinese provincial dishes, Western and Asian delicacies, to steaming noodles and snack cakes.

Customers may redeem the awards by presenting a total value of receipts of $300, $500 or $1,000 on transactions with at least three industry products or spending in July.

More details of the campaign can be found at www.welovehongkong.com.
