Parents of Primary Six students joining the 2010 cycle of the secondary school allocation system will soon receive school selection documents.

The Education Bureau has informed participating primary schools to collect documents today, such as the Secondary One Choice of Schools Form, the Notes for Parents on Central Allocation, the Secondary School List and the Handbook for Unrestricted School Choices.

Each Primary Six student will be given a copy of the choice form, notes for parents and the school list. Parents can refer to the handbook distributed to primary schools, or obtain the school lists in the handbook by clicking here or calling 2891 0088 for an automatic fax service.

Parents should carefully read the notes and watch the VCD to be distributed to them in October to understand the allocation system. They should also refer to the Secondary School Profiles 2009-2010 published in December and visit the Secondary School Profiles website for the schools' latest developments.
