The Music Office is looking for budding musicians aged eight to 18 for its instrumental music training scheme, which offers lessons in different string, wind and Chinese instruments.
With an annual enrolment of more than 5,000 trainees the scheme offers tuition in violin, viola, cello, harp, flute, saxophone, clarinet, French horn, erhu, dizi, suona and zhongruan, with supplementary courses in musicianship and theory.
Weekly group lessons, from elementary to advanced level, are conducted in Cantonese at the Music Office's music centres in Wan Chai, Kwun Tong, Mong Kok, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan. Annual tuition fees of $2,420 for intermediate level and $3,190 for advanced level are payable in four instalments.
Click here for more details about the scheme. Applications will close on May 13. Qualified applicants will be invited to attend an audition in June and notified of audition results by mid-August. Training will begin in September.
