The Labour & Welfare Bureau has launched the third phase of the Government-subsidised training courses tailor-made for the film, television and entertainment industry under the Skills Upgrading Scheme, offering 2,265 training places.
About $3.65 million has been set aside to subsidise this phase of training. In addition to the existing 27 courses, 10 new courses will be available in this phase. They include film production, voice dubbing, comic and animation design, basic pop song composition and singing.
Since its launch in 2004, the scheme's film, television and entertainment courses have received wide support from the industry. A total of 125 classes have been organised in the first two phases and about 2,500 in-service workers have been trained.
Applications for the courses are now open. For details call 2836 1234 or click here.
