IT training project offers 400 vacancies

Labour Department

The Labour Department's IT seeds project under the Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme will offer 400 training vacancies this year for people aged 15-24 with Form 5 education.

 

Those interested can bring their educational attainment documents for on-the-spot application and interviews from 9am to 5pm tomorrow and Friday at the Pui Ching Education Centre, 42 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon.

 

The project offers the following posts:

* IT Teaching & Administrative Support Trainee (Teaching);

* IT Teaching & Administrative Support Trainee (Administrative);

* IT Teaching & Administrative Support Trainee (Technical);

* School Activities & Administrative Trainee; and,

* School General Affairs & Administrative Trainee.

 

The salary for project trainees is $5,250 per month. Apart from receiving one-year on-the-job training at participating schools from September, each trainee will be released one day each week to attend a free IT certificate course run by the Pui Ching Education Centre.

 

Trainees completing the project can join the E-leader training programme to receive further on-the-job and related classroom training.

 

Application forms can also be downloaded here, or obtained from the Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme and Youth Pre-employment Training Programme offices, the department's job centres, Home Affairs Department public enquiry service centers, Social Welfare Department district offices, and through training bodies.
