Health drive: Commissioner for Transport Alan Wong visits volunteers at the Health Test Day for Taxi Drivers activity.
*

A campaign promoting occupational safety and health for taxi drivers has been launched by the Transport Department, the Quality Taxi Service Steering Committee, and the Hospital Authority's Health InfoWorld.

The Health Check Days for Taxi Drivers campaign provides health tests for drivers, boosting their awareness of the importance of fitness and encouraging them to lead a healthy life.

Commissioner for Transport Alan Wong commended drivers who have health checks, saying their physical fitness is important to their families and their passengers alike.

"Taxi drivers should take enough rest, have regular and timely meals, do exercise and conduct regular body checks, to stay physically and mentally fit to serve the public," he said.
