Centralised school allocation to start

*

The Secondary School Places Allocation System will enter a central allocation stage in late April. The Education & Manpower Bureau will distribute school selection documents, including the secondary school list and the new handbook for unrestricted school choice to parents of Primary 6 students.

Surplus school places from Kwai Tsing will be required again for netting to Sham Shui Po to meet the district's expected rise in demand for school places.

The Secondary School Places Allocation Committee has agreed to stick to the vicinity principle, which can cut unnecessary cross-district allocation and long distance travel.

Parents who have enquiries about the allocation can contact their children's primary schools, or call 2832 7740 or 2832 7700.
