2nd school allocation exercise opens

*

Eligible sponsoring bodies can apply for a new premises in Yuen Long District for reprovisioning of secondary schools in the Second School Allocation Exercise 2006, the Education & Manpower Bureau says.

Situated in Tin Shui Wai, the premises has 30 classrooms and has been made available for re-allocation after a school implemented whole-day primary schooling and returned the premises to the bureau.

Allocation is on a competitive basis. Quality of education will be the prime consideration in assessing reprovisioning applications. Factors to be considered include the operation track record of the school proposed to be reprovisioned, the school plan after relocation and the physical condition of the school's existing premises.

More information, application forms and other reference materials are available here. Applications must be submitted to the Infrastructure & Research Support Division (Room 1427, 14/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong) by October 6. For enquiries call 2892 5436 or 2892 6391.
