Sir Edward Youde scholarships open

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund Council is inviting applicants for its 2007-08 fellowships and scholarships for overseas studies, including an award for disabled students. The closing date is September 29.

 

Successful candidates are expected to have a strong sense of commitment to Hong Kong and be ready to contribute significantly to the community upon graduation.

 

The fellowships are for studies leading to postgraduate degrees either by research or coursework and the scholarships are for studies leading to undergraduate degrees.

 

The fellowship is worth $251,000 a year for up to three years for doctoral degrees, or two years for master's degrees, while the scholarship is worth $232,000 a year for up to three years.
