Education council poll set for April 25
*

Voting for teacher-nominated categories in the seventh Council on Professional Conduct in Education election will be held at schools on April 25.

 

The Education & Manpower Bureau said all serving regular registered teachers, permitted teachers and government school teachers are eligible to vote.

 

Thirty nominations have been received - 14 teacher-nominated seats and 16 organisation-nominated seats.

 

For the organisation-nominated categories, eligible education organisations must submit their votes by 10am on April 27.

 

The Permanent Secretary for Education & Manpower will appoint the Principal Assistant Secretary for Professional Development & Training and two lay members to the council, bringing its membership to 24.
