Maids' rights expo to be held
*
Labour Department

The Information Expo for Foreign Domestic Helpers will be held at Victoria Park and Statue Square October 2 and 9 to raise awareness of their statutory rights and the channels for addressing their complaints.

There will be information panels on display in English, Tagalog and Indonesian highlighting key employment rights and benefits, including minimum wage, statutory holidays, rest days, and obligations and important notes for their employment in Hong Kong.

The newly-produced publicity video on Foreign Domestic Helpers' rights in English, Tagalog, Indonesian and Thai will also be screened. Publications and souvenirs with useful telephone numbers will be distributed.

Labour and Immigration officers will handle enquiries on the spot.

Opening hours are from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
