Administrative officer recruitment opens

*

The recruitment of not more than 40 administrative officers on civil service terms will be conducted from October 1 to 24, the Civil Service Bureau says.

A panel co-chaired by the Chief Secretary for Administration and Financial Secretary and with the Secretary for the Civil Service as a member agreed there is a strong need for the administrative officers grade to recruit this year after a review of the grade's justifications and manpower plans.

Recruitment is open to Hong Kong permanent residents  who possess the required degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent qualifications, or those who are undergraduates taking their final degree examinations next summer. For details, click here.

Qualified applicants will attend an examination on January 21. Results will be used for short-listing applicants for selection interviews in the current recruitment exercise.

Common Recruitment Exam

Prospective applicants for civil service jobs at degree or professional level can sit the Common Recruitment Examination, scheduled for December 3.

Passes in examination papers are required of applicants for civil service posts at degree or professional level, and are valid for three years.

Holders of degree or professional qualifications or undergraduates who will attain a degree next year may apply to sit for the examination. It will also be held in several overseas cities on January 21 for those studying or residing abroad.

For more details click here, or contact the Civil Service Examinations Unit on 2537 6429 or emailing csbcseu@csb.gov.hk. Applications should be made by October 22.
