The British government has reassured that Hong Kong students will be given special consideration if any new restrictions on overseas students are imposed after the London terrorist attack, Secretary for Education & Manpower Professor Arthur Li says.

Meeting Minister for Trade Ian Pearson and Shadow Minister for Education Stephen O'Brien in London today, Professor Li conveyed the Hong Kong Government and people's condolences to the bombings' victims.

During his five-day UK visit, which ended today, Professor Li also met with Parliament members, the Chief Inspector of Schools at the Office for Standards in Education, university heads and the media to brief them on the progress of Hong Kong's education reform.
