Sheung Shui job fair to offer 1,500 vacancies

Labour Department

The Labour Department will stage a two-day recruitment forum at Landmark North in Sheung Shui on Tuesday, offering more than 1,500 vacancies.

 

Over 80% of the jobs are full time and most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $8,000. About 70% of the vacancies do not require relevant work experience.
 
On the first day, 12 companies from the catering, telecommunications, retail and manufacturing sectors as well as personal and business services will set up recruitment booths offering more than 1,100 vacancies.

 

The jobs on offer include restaurant manager, manager trainee, cook, assistant cook, waiter, cashier, cleaner, customer service officer, sales representative, shop assistant, security officer, security guard and sewing machine operator.

 

On June 1, 11 companies from the retail, property management and manufacturing sectors as well as personal and business services will offer more than 400 vacancies.

 

On-site interviews

The available jobs include shop supervisor, salesperson, sales trainee, shop assistant, sales and marketing assistant, sewing machine operator, property consultant, guard services officer, engineer, technician and production operator.

 

Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.

 

A counter will also be set up to introduce the Work Trial Scheme. The department will also conduct on-site registration for job-seekers.

 

The recruitment forum will be held from 11am to 6pm at Level 2 Landmark North, 39 Lung Sum Avenue, Sheung Shui. Admission is free.
