The Profile of Kindergartens for the 2003-04 school year, which provides parents with essential information for making school choices for their children, has been uploaded onto homepages of the Education & Manpower Bureau and the Committee on Home-School Co-operation.
Basic information such as non-profit-making status, approved school fees, whether a participant in the Kindergarten Subsidy Scheme or not, number of classes, number of teachers and their qualifications are included in the profile.
Links to "Quality Assurance Inspection Summary Reports" and "Good Practices" (in Chinese only) of kindergartens have also been provided to let parents better understand the quality and good practices of pre-primary education.
Jointly published by the Education & Manpower Bureau and the Committee on Home-School Co-operation, hard copies of the profile will also be available for reference at Regional Education Offices, Maternal & Child Health Centres and the Social Welfare Department's Family Service Centres starting August 10.
