Guangzhou youth group visits HK

*

A 50-member delegation of Guangzhou university students is now in Hong Kong to share social and cultural experiences with local young people.

The youth delegation arrived in Hong Kong today for a five-day visit co-organised by the Home Affairs Bureau, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and relevant departments of Guangdong Province.

This is the first time that Hong Kong and Guangdong Province have co-operated on the Youth Cultural Exchange Programme which aims to help young people from the two places enhance their mutual understanding and bilateral relationship.

The delegation, joined by 180 local university students, will visit the Central Library, Space Museum, Museum of History and University of Science Technology.

HK students will visit Guangdong cities

They will also observe the City Forum at Victoria Park and pay home visits to local families.

The local university students will join their new Guangzhou friends in a return visit to Guangdong cities from July 14 to July 21. They will visit Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shantau, Chaozhou, Shaoguan and Nanxiong.
