Junior classes resume smoothly

Junior primary classes and kindergartens reopened smoothly today, the Secretary for Education & Manpower said after visiting three schools to inspect classes.

 

Prof Arthur Li visited Soka Kindergarten in Kowloon City, where he was briefed on the arrangements made ahead of class resumption.

 

He then visited Mary Rose School in Kowloon Tong where he watched a speech therapy session, music and arts classes and then met parent representatives.

Back to schools: Secretary for Education & Manpower Prof Arthur Li visits three schools to inspect classes. He chatted with children and parent representatives and joined in the exercise routine during the visits.

Heep Yunn Primary School in Ma Tau Wai was his third stop.

 

Professor Li said a secondary school in Tin Shiu Wai was closed voluntarily today after a student with fever was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital.

 

He said the student's temperature returned to normal after receiving treatment. It is confirmed that she did not contract SARS.

 

He said he expected the school to resume classes tomorrow.
