Education Commission head reappointed
*

Rosanna Wong has been reappointed Education Commission chairman for two years from May 1. Dr Wong took up the chairmanship of the commission in 2001.

Secretary for Education & Manpower Arthur Li said: "We are grateful for Dr Wong's able leadership, strong commitment and valuable contribution to the work of the commission, and her agreement to continue to serve as the chairman for another two-year term."

He said under Dr Wong's leadership, the commission will continue to give the Government valuable advice on overall education policy and implementation priorities, as well as the co-ordination of the work of various major education bodies to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the Education Reform.

Her reappointment will help ensure the continuity of the education reform, he added.
