Poll amendments to close April 15
*

Organisations wishing to register or amend their names, abbreviations of names and emblems with the Electoral Affairs Commission, or people wishing to register or amend their emblems in the 2010 registration cycle should submit their applications by April 15.

The commission said today candidates of Legislative Council and District Council elections or by-elections can apply to have specified particulars printed on ballot papers. They include the names, abbreviations of the names and emblems of prescribed bodies, the personal emblems and photographs of the candidates, as well as the words "Independent Candidate" or "Non-affiliated Candidate".

The names, abbreviations of the names and the emblems of prescribed bodies, and the personal emblems need to be registered.

Applications submitted by April 15 will be processed within the 2010 registration cycle, while those submitted after the deadline will be processed in the 2011 registration cycle. Application forms can be downloaded here. Call 2891 1001 for enquiries.
