Gov't House set to open March 7
*

Government House will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm on March 7.

Visitors can take a stroll in the blooming garden, and see the drawing and dining rooms where the Chief Executive holds important official functions and receives dignitaries.

Free guided tour services will be provided at fixed positions to enhance visitors' understanding of the building's history and architectural features, as well as the large variety of flowers and plants in the garden.

Visitors will also be treated to musical performances of the Hong Kong Police Band, student choirs and ensembles while strolling in the garden.

Visitors are urged to use public transport. They should enter the garden through the east gate at Upper Albert Road and leave through the main gate.

To ensure those already in the queue can be admitted in time, arrangement might be made to stop people from queuing up outside Government House before 5pm.
