Kowloon City District Council post vacant
*

The Director of Home Affairs has declared that the office of Fung King-man, an elected Kowloon City District Council member, has become vacant. The Electoral Affairs Commission will arrange a by-election.

Fung was jailed for 18 months by the District Court last December for fraudulently obtaining rental allowances.

In accordance with section 24 of the District Councils Ordinance, she was disqualified on May 24 from holding office as an elected District Council member.
