Appointments
Senior appointments announced
Deputy Director of Fire Services Kwok Jing-keung will succeed Lam Chun-man as Director of Fire Services from December 7, while Deputy Director of Buildings Cheung Hau-wai will succeed Marco Wu as Director of Buildings from December 9.

Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong said he is confident that Mr Kwok and Mr Cheung, with their proven leadership and administrative skills, will lead the departments well.

 

Mr Wong also thanked Mr Lam and Mr Wu for their dedicated and meritorious services and wished them a happy retirement.

 

Biographies

Mr Kwok, 55, joined the Government as an Assistant Station Officer in 1971. He was promoted to Deputy Chief Fire Officer in 1994, to Chief Fire Officer in 1996, and to Deputy Director of Fire Services in 2003.

 

Mr Cheung, 57, joined the Government as a Temporary Surveying Assistant (Building) II in 1968. He was promoted to Chief Building Surveyor in 1983, to Government Building Surveyor in 1996 and to Deputy Director of Buildings in 2000.
