Online bookstore offers 15% discount
*
Information Services Department

The online Government Bookstore now offers a 15% discount on all government publications, except the Government Gazette.

The bookstore provides one-stop service for ordering government publications. Apart from the special discount, consumers also benefit from the convenience of purchasing online anytime, anywhere.

The bookstore offers a range of publications, covering such topics as the laws of Hong Kong, codes of practice, countryside maps, statistical publications, curriculum guides, reports and interesting books such as Birds of Hong Kong & South China and Commercial Crustaceans in Hong Kong.

Last year's bestsellers were Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations, Check List of Hong Kong Plants, Hand-drawn Marine Fishes Calendar, Hong Kong Observatory Almanac and various other kinds of codes of practice.

Convenient, easy shopping

Online buying is easy. The portal contains a catalogue showing different categories and details of publications such as book titles, date of publication, weight and price. Buyers can add their selections to a shopping cart and pay by credit cards, debit cards or use the payment-by- phone service.

Once payment is confirmed, the books will be delivered by mail. The bookstore also contains a record of orders through which buyers can verify their purchase orders and enquire about the delivery status.

Operated by the Information Services Department under the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme, the bookstore provides an efficient public service to the community.
